Hitman Rohit Sharma Smashes Humongous Six Off Rabada, Leaves Fans Stunned

The battle between the blues, on Tuesday night, has been on song. Indians’ captain, Rohit Sharma after winning the toss, opts to set the runs on board first. The decision of choosing to bat first comes of simple, only one team has been able to win chasing. The second inning pitch of Chepauk has brought down teams to collapse from chasing comfortably to dust in no time. The slowness of it is key, as they say.

Mumbai after walking out suffered an early blow. as the partner in crime to captain, while opening the innings, Quinton de Kock fell off to Marcus Stoinis in the third over. But Rohit and Suryakumar ‘SKY’ Yadav went on to stitch a decent partnership. But eventually, SKY got out trying to place the ball towards the third man. After that, Indians tumbled down like stones downhill.

From 67/1 in the seventh over, crumbled down towards an end with just 17 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. All credits to the spinners, including the likes of Amit Mishra, who was back in the playing 11, for his first game. He happened to dismiss both, Rohit and power-hitter Hardik Pandya in the same over, proven turning point of the match.

But there’s something else that has been the talk on Twitter.

Rohit hits a shot off Rabada with such tremendous strength and class, critics and fans can’t help themselves but call it one of the best seen. He hits a monstrous 95-meter six, exerting sheer dominance over it, which almost hits the roof just above the audiences at the stadium. It had everyone twist their necks in awkward positions to glance at the ball.

The Rohit looked In-form while playing, but fell short of his deserving half-century. But his innings come off as a positive, both for Mumbai Indians, and the Indian National Cricket team as well. The Mumbai squad will surely be more confident, the captain is back in form, will they make it to the finals yet again?

Delhi Capitals took off the chase, with orange-cap Shikhar Dhawan and young Prithvi. They went on to chase the score. Well, it didn’t come off with ease, as many expected them to chase a target of 137. But in the end, they did find themselves on top, and now are placed 2

on the points table, just below The Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Will this be Delhi’s year? Stay Tuned
