Yuzi Chahal’s Parents Test Positive

Published

on

Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma announced on social media that Chahal’s Father has been admitted after testing positive for coronavirus with severe symptoms

Yuzvendra Chahal has not been in great form for quite a few months. With averaging astonishingly high, and the lack of wickets has made his confidence drop big time. He has been giving away too many runs at crucial times and it feels like the batsman can predict what Chahal’s next delivery will be, which for a spinner of Chahal’s caliber is an issue.

Chahal had an awful England vs India series earlier this year, which was enough to earn a demotion in the yearly contract list. From the three-crore contract, Chahal sees him in the lowest level of one crore for the annual period alongside Axar Patel, Krunal Pandya, and many others.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma revealed on social media that both of Chahal’s parents have tested positive for coronavirus. Chahal’s father has been admitted to the hospital as he tested with severe symptoms.  She commented, “My parents-in-law have tested positive with severe symptoms. My father-in-law is admitted and my mother-in-law is being treated at home,”.

Dhanashree added “I was at the hospital and I have witnessed the worst. I’m taking all the precautions, but Guys please stay at home and take proper care of your family,”

During the IPL, Dhanashree revealed that her mother and brother had tested positive, but recovered safely. She said “It’s been tough and challenging for me as mother and brother tested positive. I was in the IPL bubble and felt extremely helpless but did monitor them from time to time. It’s really difficult to stay away from your family. Fortunately, they’ve recovered,”

Dhanashree also mentioned that her aunt has passed away due to covid.

Chahal played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021, but here too, had a disappointing run. Picking up just four wickets in seven matches, he didn’t look the same bankable bowler as he used to be.

Hardik Pandya has been playing for Mumbai Indians since IPL 2015. The all-rounder has been one of the top performers for the Indian team as well but is struggling with injuries at the moment.

Surprisingly, The Baroda born player was not retained by Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2022. Krunal Pandya the brother of Hardik Pandya was not retained either.

Hardik Pandya’s statement after parting ways with Mumbai Indians :

“They say all good things must end but Mumbai Indians will remain in my heart forever. I will carry these moments with me for the rest of my life.”

Hardik Pandya’s bowling fitness has been a talking point over the last couple of years for the Indian fans and continues to be. His bowling has been a concern for the national team as well.

The right-hander has not bowled in the last two seasons of IPL due to the back injury that he picked up in the last Asia cup. He rarely bowled in the T20 World Cup 2021, UAE.

According to a report, The five time champions did not retain the all-rounder as he was unable to bowl in any form of the game. He did not bowl for Mumbai Indians in the last couple of seasons and the Franchise was not pleased with it.

Gujarat Titans’ head coach Ashish Nehra gives update on Hardik Pandya’s bowling :

Nehra said

“If he bowls, it’s great. But to be very honest, we are more than happy to have Hardik Pandya as a pure batsman. I don’t see any T20 team in the world, not talking just about the IPL, where Hardik doesn’t fit as a batsman. Whatever number he bats, be it 4 or 5 or 6. Yes, there is always speculation around his bowling. If he can bowl for Gujarat Titans, that will be great. But yes, if he is only batting fit, I will be happy with Hardik Pandya.”

The all-rounder will try to prove his fitness for the T20 World Cup in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League. He is set to lead Gujarat Titans in the season.
